The Club at Cordillera

Soul–Stirring Beauty and Countless Recreational Opportunities in the Mountains of Vail, Colorado...

“The Best New Private Golf Course for 2003.” -Golf Digest

Covering more than 7,000 acres, The Club at Cordillera is renowned for year-round, family-friendly programs and activities including sporting, educational, and culinary events providing club members countless opportunities to participate in the pursuit of shared interests and pleasures. The Club’s four golf courses, three world-class championship courses and an instructional short course, are tucked into one of the West’s most beautiful mountain settings to provide a remarkable backdrop for enjoying all of the Club’s recreational amenities.

The vast expanse of Cordillera, adjacent to millions of acres of preserved National Forest wilderness, offers some of the most spectacular scenery and outdoor mountain experiences in all of North America. The Club at Cordillera has four distinct clubhouses with their own unique dining experiences along with The Summit Athletic Club facility which offers an indoor lap pool, fitness facility and fitness classes; the Tennis and Swim Club at the Valley Course; The Cordillera Nordic Center; The Trailhead Family Center which includes Cordillera Day Camp, a fully licensed summer day camp for children; along with access to the newly renovated Lodge & Spa at Cordillera.

The Club at Cordillera is unique in all Colorado as the only club with four golf courses. The Summit Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, is crafted on 190 acres on a mountaintop at an elevation of 9,000 feet. The 7,530 yard course takes advantage of the natural, rolling terrain of sage and spruce-covered hills while offering stunning views of the Rockies.

The Mountain Course, a Hale Irwin Signature Design inspired by an undulating terrain at an 8,250 foot elevation, plays at 7,413 yards through an area that was formerly a working ranch on land that spans ridges, meadows and forests to bring a variety of challenges into play. Irwin, a three-time U.S. Open winner who grew up in Colorado, was committed to preserving the area’s natural qualities.

The Valley Course, a Tom Fazio Signature Design, with its high-mountain-desert topography at an elevation of 7,200 feet is a 7,005 yard, par 71 offering a longer playing season than the two courses at higher elevations, incorporating the land’s natural beauty and open space.

The ten-hole Short Course, a Dave Pelz Signature Design, is 1,252 yards of par 3 holes designed to strengthen short game skills while providing a fun, relaxed golf experience for golfers of all levels.

During winter months the Mountain Course transforms into The Cordillera Nordic Center with more than eleven kilometers of groomed Nordic trails where you may ski on your own or with professionals who provide private and group instruction. There are also horse-drawn sleigh rides, an outdoor skating rink and a groomed sled hill along with an elegant dinner offered at The Timber Hearth at Cordillera.

World-class skiing is right down the road at Beaver Creek and Vail Resorts. Few places exist in the world where skiers can experience what the back bowls of Vail have to offer. The bowls are massive, extending six miles from east to west, with endless choices of pitch, exposure, and length of run.

The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera is one of the most luxurious retreats in the world. Perched on a mountaintop overlooking the magnificent Vail Valley and Sawatch Range, the Lodge was inspired by a chateau in Belgium and offers views like no other hotel in Vail Valley. The 56-room Lodge continually earns accolades for its exemplary service and is regularly voted among the Top 10 Spas in North America.

The Lodge is home to a 20,000 square foot Spa and Fitness Center and features both an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor and an outdoor jacuzzi along with two unique restaurants, inviting guests to select from a variety of menus, decors and Colorado high country settings. Regardless of which you choose, Mirador and Mirador Café, with its innovative regional fare and extensive wine list, or The Grouse on the Green, authentic to the core with an interior designed in Ireland then shipped to Cordillera with the ambiance of a quaint Irish pub, you’ll savor breathtaking views, delightful cuisine and attentive service.

Cordillera is a recreational paradise with a plethora of activities designed for family members of all ages with five tennis courts throughout the property; four swimming facilities; horseback riding; miles of hiking, snow shoeing, mountain biking and road biking trails, and an abundance of fly fishing opportunities.

The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera is one of only five Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodges in all of Colorado. Professional
guides can help improve your technique or teach the basic skills of fishing on Cordillera’s private waters and well-stocked ponds. Comprehensive fly fishing schools are offered as well as guided wade and float trips. The Club has access to a mile-and-a-half of private water on nearby Eagle River containing wild rainbows, browns, cutthroats, and brook trout that rival those found anywhere in the United States.

At Bearcat Stables, where horses have grazed for more than a century, local outfitters offer single day or longer adventures in the backcountry. Next door, at the Cordillera Equestrian Center, Members find an indoor riding arena designed for basic horsemanship, dressage, eventing and show jumping.

The Cordillera Residence Club, situated on hillsides over-looking Vail Valley and surrounding private golf courses, was inspired by villas and estates found in Europe. These spacious homes, with approximately 4,000 square feet of interior living space, feature extraordinary details and are designed to easily accommodate family and friends or the quiet enjoyment of individual owners.

Sold in shared-equity interests, these magnificent homes provide owners with private and frequent access while significantly reducing the high expense of purchasing a traditional second home and eliminating the associated maintenance concerns. Each home comes fully furnished and is built to take advantage of the unique attributes of its location and to enjoy magnificent views of fairways, forests, valleys or mountains. Each 1/4 share ownership comes with both a Signature Golf Membership and and a Vail Ski Club Membership.

The Club at Cordillera’s goal is to create a warm and inviting sanctuary that is multi-dimensional, multi-cultural, and multi-generational – the perfect setting for year-round recreational enjoyment.
