The Pebble Beach Golf Links is the crown jewel of the resort, consistently ranked among the top golf courses in the world. This iconic course features breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, rugged cliffs, and lush fairways lined with cypress trees. The layout of Pebble Beach Golf Links is characterized by strategic bunkering, undulating greens, and tight fairways that demand precision and skill from golfers.

Spyglass Hill Golf Course provides a contrasting experience to Pebble Beach Golf Links with its forested terrain and dramatic elevation changes. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., this course challenges golfers with narrow fairways, deep ravines, and strategic bunkering. The stunning views of the Del Monte Forest and the Monterey Peninsula create a serene and secluded atmosphere for players.

The Links at Spanish Bay offers a unique Scottish links-style experience right in the heart of California. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., Tom Watson, and Sandy Tatum, this course features rolling dunes, coastal grasses, and ocean breezes that mimic the traditional links courses of Scotland. The challenging layout and unpredictable coastal weather make for an exciting and memorable round of golf.

Lastly, Del Monte Golf Course provides a classic parkland setting with tree-lined fairways, well-manicured greens, and strategic water hazards. This historic course, dating back to 1897, offers a more traditional golf experience while still providing a challenge for players of all levels.

History & Background

Pebble Beach Golf Links, the flagship course of Pebble Beach Resorts, was designed by legendary golf course architect Jack Neville and Douglas Grant and opened in 1919. Since then, the course has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including multiple U.S. Opens, the annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and the historic 1977 Ryder Cup.

Spyglass Hill Golf Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1966, quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most challenging courses on the Monterey Peninsula. The course's name pays homage to the novel "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson, adding a touch of literary history to the golfing experience.

The Links at Spanish Bay, opened in 1987, was designed by a team of renowned architects including Robert Trent Jones Jr., Tom Watson, and Sandy Tatum. The course was inspired by the traditional links courses of Scotland, with the layout and design elements paying tribute to the rich golfing heritage of the sport.

Del Monte Golf Course holds the distinction of being the oldest operating course west of the Mississippi, dating back to 1897. The classic parkland layout was designed by golf architect Charles Maud and has undergone several renovations over the years to maintain its historical charm and challenge.
